The hotel is situated in the center, with beautiful architecture and a rich culinary experience. My room was well-equipped and the hotel has great facilities. Definitely one of the most unique hotels I've stayed in.
Swimming with the dog in the pool and peeing against a column is a delightful touch at a 4* hotel. Very classy.

Monastery ambience in the room. But that also means simple furnishings. Bathroom with traditional tiles. Historical terracotta floor. The room was pleasantly large. A highlight was the dinner at Casa Manolo. Traditional Spanish cuisine and highly motivated staff, cloth napkins, cutlery new for every course, everything freshly prepared, delicious wine, very good value for money. Highly recommended and only 100 meters to walk from the Monasterio.
The staff was very different and partly not friendly and uninterested. As others reported, the breakfast was disappointing. Already at 9.30 a.m. there was no more orange juice. Only after more intensive inquiries did 2 glasses from the kitchen with a watery content, which was actually inedible (the monastery is located in an area with intensive orange cultivation). Bacon and eggs would have been better if we had not ordered them. Coffee and fresh fruit were good.

Worth its 4 stars. This hotel was excellent base for exploring Palma del Rio, loved it. Had breakfast for eur 10 per person per day. They gave us a mini-suite with single beds as we booked. Only 10 min walk to downtown.

The complex located in an old monastery, so it speaks for itself. It has been cleverly adapted to the needs of the hotel industry. The antique bathrooms in the rooms were particularly pleasing. The monastery garden has well-kept pool, that invites you to linger and relax.
At our pre-booked arrival, the rooms were not ready for our occupancy after check-in time, although the house was obviously hardly booked. The restaurant staff was completely unmotivated and disinterested despite (or because?) of the almost empty house. A table booking was arranged at the reception at a time (which was even advertised on a notice board) when the kitchen is closed (!); the house's own parking lot was not even offered. Professionally, we were allowed to attend a discussion between the reception and the kitchen staff. In the minibar there were half-empty bottles. The breakfast consisted on instant drinks and packaged discount stuff . it absolutely unworthy for a 4-stars hotel. The only ray of hope were the eggs "prepared according to your wishes". which were advertised by a display stand.

Large room Beautiful location in old monastery Dinner
Disappointing breakfast The structure needs to be heavily restored, in particular the garden and the swimmimg pool. During the weekend, an outside bar is open until 2 am with loud music. In half board, we have been offered the same menu twice in a row.
